We had panels installed by Green Energy Inc. Solar in AZ in 2013. This year some of the panels developed a leak. We... started calling the end of March 2020 for someone to look at them. They came out in April and took pictures, and then took pictures 2 more times. We called them multiple times and got told the paperwork was in or the warranty person (Bruno) was not available. Multiple times (our cell phone records for March thru June show 18 phone calls) we got disgusted and called headquarters in FL and talked to a sales rep who got the elusive Bruno to call us on 7/27. He said there were no records of us calling or pictures except for 4/19. On 7/29 three guys came, looked at the panels and took more pictures. We hadn't heard anything so on 9/4 I left a message for Bruno. On 9/8 I talked to Kathy who said I had to talk to Bruno. He called back later and said things were still in process. AWFUL SERVICE!!!!!!read more

We initially had our Heliocol pool system installed in 2016. Even though we live in AZ, we LOVE the extended swimming... season it provides. Instead of swimming from June thru Sept, we now can swim from March thru Nov! Last Aug during a storm we found out our system was installed incorrectly. It lifted up our system in several areas, pouring rain water into our attic and out a ceiling vent in our dining room flooding it and our family room. Knowing the installation was still covered under warranty, we called the installers here in Phx (Green Enegy aka Helicol West) and were told that the manager would be out that day to inspect and help us. He never came. After 4 days of calls and 2 more storms, we had no choice but to call our homeowners ins who immediately sent out a restoration company to start repairs. They tarped our our roof, removed the drywall and insulation from ceilings and walls. They planned to have the roofers remove and re-install our system, but knowing that this would void our warranty we contacted Helicol UMA in FL. Mind you, the only authorized installers in Phx were the ones that installed it incorrectly in the first place (not screwing into the joists) AND failed to come out to fix it, so needless to say we did not want them out ever again. From my very first phone call with UMA, something hit me as strange....they listened to my story and actually seemed to care. I was transferred to the Regional Sales Manager, Mike Kozlowski. After listening to our situation he then referred us to a guy in Tuscon (Dan). Instead of just giving me his number, Mike called him to explained the problem to Dan, who then called us to make arrangements to remove the system and replace it using new brackets so this wouldn't happen again after our roof was totally repaired. Weeks after he installed it, it rained and our dining room ceiling was once again WET! Hubby went in the attic and saw water coming through roof where he had missed the joist. We contacted Dan and he came up to fix the hole. He assured us that there were no more holes. Said he would come back in 4 days to repair the ceiling. Dan never came back. About 3 weeks later we had another contractor in our attic that said "Are you aware you have 5 holes in your roof that daylight is coming through!?" He took pics and I sent them to Dan telling him he has had plenty of time to fix our ceiling and now our roof needs to be repaired one more time. Not knowing what to do, we called Mike back at UMA to explain our newest issue. He was amazed that this could happen TWICE to us and expressed his deepest apologizes. He told me that he was coming to Phx in 2 weeks and asked to stop by to see the install and meet us. We agreed. He drove an hour to our home. He reviewed the photos from our first install fail and then went on the roof to see the re-install. Was appalled at the terrible install job and the fact that Dan did not use brackets like he had been instructed to by UMA and he had some of the parts on wrong. He was speechless. He asked how we felt about having the first company come back out to remove and reinstall the system one more time. We said absolutely not! My husband jokingly said we would pay for Mike to fly out from CA to remove our system so he could repair the roof (he owned a roofing company about 20 years ago). Mike took him up on that and made arrangements to fly out on UMAs dime, not ours. Shipped all the supplies out. He stayed with us for 4 days and him and my husband removed the system, repaired the roof correctly and re-installed the system better than ever! He went above and beyond what any RSM or any company would be expected. This was not UMA's fault, nor their problem. They not only produce a great product, but they care about the people that have purchased them. All companies should model their customer service practices after UMA. Don't have anything good to say about Green Energy or Dan, but can't say enough about UMA and Mike Kozlowski. Mike is a great guy with an amazing heart and now, a life long friend!read more

Mike Kozlowski is one of the most passionate and sincere individuals in the solar pool heating industry.
